Mary Ann Strandell, Spill, 2005 Strandell's lenticular prints harken back to 1960's psychodelic experience. Altered states of consciousness achieved through experimentation with LSD were mantras for the hippie generation, intent on 'tuning on, tuning in and dropping out'. Reframing the vision into a technological output, as in Swirl I (2005) Strandell captures the ecstatic array of changing light and colour. |
